About 20 years have passed since the end of the world. Humans are dwindling in numbers but those who have survived are left to wonder how we did it, how we managed to let robots take over the world. Zero has, undoubtedly, the most time to ponder this, being trapped in a bunker, surrounded by killer robots, thousands of miles away from home seems to do that to you. His dreams of home seem hopeless until he meets a robot who seems just as desperate for a place to call home.
