When Zora joins Willow Woods University she has no knowledge about how to use weapons for her fighting class. As she struggles through the weapons testing courses, she finds herself caught in school drama and tries to help her new friends Wilder, Sloane, and Reed to solve the mysteries thrown their way. Along the way she finds out that she's a mage and tries to persuade the school to let mages join the Great Competition before it begins.
