In 2026 on her first day as the new Principal of Ashwood High, Dr. Eleanor Hartfield finds herself immediately in the middle of an ongoing dispute the School Board has with Sarah Thompson, a later twenty-something success story from the Class of 2018 who left town and made something of herself, but has returned to Ashwood with a grudge over a ruined senior year over false allegations...and a claim to the 17 acres the school district built their new expansion on four years ago.
