I moved through the flames while screaming her name. I don’t know if it was the roar of the flames or my panicked state, but I couldn’t hear her. Injury wasn’t a concern. My life could end as long as it meant I found them. My entire being burned from the inside when I lost consciousness. When I awoke, the only thing I saw was the firefighters that pulled my out of the house…alone.
