Igull is an adventurous young pine marten seeking freedom in the wilderness. Along with his occasional companion Hugo (who only seems to come around when it suits him), Igull sets off to travel the frozen back country of his homeland. However when he discovers a monster he believed only to exist in old stories has been tracking him, will it be the end?
