In an attempt to escape her unhappy home life, Amanda decides to enroll in a newly reopened magic school (one of the only magic schools to exist). There's just one little problem: despite the fact that Amanda descends from two lines of wizards pretty much as pure as it gets and might be as close as it gets to being the perfect girl, she has shown absolutely no actual magic skill in her entire life.
