It seems that Alma has found a kindred spirit. Why didn’t Alma create a girlfriend? Alma is 15, and shy. Build-a-Beings aren’t girlfriends/boyfriends or friends by default, and may not even like their creator. The prospect of spending a week with a girl who mightn’t like him was just too unnerving. It’d be like soooo awkward.
