This part of the backstory is where things start going south. Some of you may dislike Aria's dad, or rather his actions this episode, but I wanted his character to be like this. Most of the time, parents in fiction are either the best parents or absolutely horrible people, with not much in between, but i wanted to create a parent who is very flawed, who is far from perfect but has good intentions.
