Someone taking advantage of your kindness reflects on them not you. It’s good to be kind and empathetic and generous in an otherwise hard world! And it’s understandable to want to be kind to someone even if they end up being unkind back- you want to believe the best in someone, even when it’s not the case. It’s important to set up boundaries then so you’re not always draining yourself.
