Something I never knew about pomeranians until I had one is that they typically require a "sanitary cut," a trim around their rear end to prevent any nastiness from getting stuck in their fur. I used to be squeamish about it, but now I accept that it is a necessary evil when owning the cute fuzziness that is a pom. The fuzz must be maintained!
