The universality of perspective often doesn't suddenly mean you have a valid point; it usually means that you're equally valid with someone who holds an opposing viewpoint. At that stage, the only way to tip the balance is by numerical or authoritative superiority, so effectively, nothing changes. You can always pull rank if nobody appreciates your word salad.
