Telling someone to face a problem, hardship or adversity head-on is a favourite tool of someone in authority or position. "Don't ask questions, don't second guess, don't try and weasel out of it - just do it!" Consequences of such reckless blind-faith approaches will rarely ever be brought up. That's how character is built after all, and in the worst case - you're technically replaceable.
