"When all you have is a hammer" is something I regularly insinuate about figures of authority for their inflexibility - but the same could be said about most of us who's gone through formal education. People think that high education makes us capable of resolving any problem, then get disappointed when that isn't the case. Qualifications and skills depreciate so fast these days, it's silly.
