In an era that prizes individuality, uniqueness isn't the valued trait it used to be - because everyone is different, being different doesn't make you any more worth noticing. People will still gravitate to familiar social networks and first impressions, no matter how relevant, subtle or otherwise you are. Saying something important or groundbreaking is meaningless when nobody else thinks it is.
