Even when you're not worrying (whether it's due to a fleeting moment of being carefree or accepting of the inevitable), there's always the likelihood somebody won't be happy with your apparent inaction. You still have to get angry or upset at things that indirectly affect you (because of course they would, why wouldn't they) - you wouldn't want to risk being shamed on social media now would you?
