*"treating someone like a raw egg" is a German idiom that means treating someone with the utmost care because they're very sensitive in body and or mind. The English translation would be "handling someone with kid gloves". But it didn't seem as fitting to me so I kept the original idiom and translated it verbatim because the meaning is (imho) pretty obvious.
