Some characters believe in spells but nothing supernatural necessarily takes place in cannon that can't be explained as a vision, dream or hallucination. There are scenes where characters are in a heightened emotional state and feel as if something supernatural is taking place. Otto&Hildi went through a ritual in infancy, and the highly perceptive Major Isenstein detects a likeness to Frej&Freja.
