When I was in public school, I used to do physical therapy on the floor and one of the only rooms that had a carpet was the music room. The music teacher invited my Educational Assistant and I into the room and said, "We're just listening to Sarah!" in a sing-song voice. My EA said "I don't really listen to Sarah!" in the same manner and I always thought that was funny. I do listen to her.
