in the 80's there was an entire sub section of family movies that were pretty much "precocious child finds weird magical guy in the woods." It was a compelling genre that we here at SHH do our best to honor. Next time; a family dinner filled with not at all awkward silences, and a finely roasted bird. Plus! Something else might happen? Who knows! Not me!
