BBC reports China's Chang'e-4 rover may have found rocks from the Moon's mantle in the huge South Pole Aitken Basin crater, on the lunar far side, which could have come from a huge impact 3.9+ billion years ago smashing through the Moon's crust. Actual mantle rocks would greatly increase our understanding of the Moon's composition and origin.
