Enter to win an Admission and Portfolio Review session (English) ticket for the 2021 WEBTOON CANVAS Creator Summit.  

 

OFFICIAL RULES 

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THE GIVEAWAY.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE ENTRANT’S CHANCES OF WINNING.  ODDS OF WINNING WILL DEPEND ON THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. 

 

  1. PROMOTION DESCRIPTION 

GENERAL INFORMATION / RULES  

  • • You must be 18+  

  • • You must have a published WEBTOON CANVAS series  

  • • There will be a total of 10 winners (5 for Instagram and 5 for Twitter)  

  • • Entries will be accepted until Wednesday, July 28, 6:00 PM PDT  

  • • Winners will be announced on Thursday, July 29 before 8:00 PM PDT (via Instagram and Twitter)  

  • • The giveaway is open to jurisdictions where valid.  

  • • You may enter both giveaways  

  • • Only ONE entry per platform will be counted. Multiple comments will not increase your chance in the giveaway.  

  • • Your social media accounts must be public 

 

The “Portfolio Review Session Ticket” giveaway (the “Promotion”), sponsored by WEBTOON Entertainment, Inc., (the “Corporation”), shall begin at 3:00 PM PDT on July 27, 2021, and end at 6:00 PM PDT on July 28, 2021 (the “Promotion Period”). Participation in the Promotion is limited to individuals eighteen (18) years or older. 

 

By participating in the Promotion, you (an “Entrant” or “you”) unconditionally accept and agree to be bound by and comply with these Official Rules and the decisions of Corporation, including the interpretation of these Official Rules, which shall be final and binding in all respects.

  1. WINNER SELECTION  

  • • Ten (10) winners will be randomly selected from a list of Entrants who submitted a valid, qualifying entry by following the instructions per Paragraph 2. Five (5) winners will be randomly selected from Instagram and five (5) winners will be randomly selected from Twitter. Potential winners will be drawn by 8:00 PM PDT on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Potential winners will be contacted within twenty-four (24) hours of the winner announcement, using the Instagram or Twitter account provided with the entry. It is Entrant’s responsibility to timely check Entrant’s Instagram or Twitter account for the winner announcement.  

 

  1. PRIZE 

  • • The prize will consist of Ten (10) separate Admission and Portfolio Review session (English) ticket(s) for the 2021 WEBTOON CANVAS Creator Summit taking place on July 31, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM PDT. 

     

The Prize has no monetary value and is not transferable, assignable, or redeemable for cash. No substitution for the Prize by the Winner will be allowed. The Prize may not be sold, bartered, or exchanged. 

 

  1. WINNER NOTIFICATION; PRIZE CLAIM 

  • • The potential winner(s) will be announced on WEBTOON CANVAS Instagram and Twitter accounts. The potential winner(s) will be notified by Instagram and/or Twitter (5 from each platform) private message on July 29, 2021.   

Awarding of a Prize is subject to the Winner’s acceptance of, and compliance with, these Official Rules.  Non-compliance may result in disqualification and award of the Prize to an alternate eligible Entrant.  If any potential winner is found to be ineligible, or if he or she has not complied with these Official Rules or declines a Prize for any reason prior to award, such potential winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected. 

 

  1. ODDS: Odds of winning the Prizes depend upon the total number of eligible entries received. 

 

  1. DISQUALIFICATION: An Entrant may be disqualified (and cause any Prize that has been awarded (if any) to be forfeited) due to any of the following: (a) the Entrant fails to comply with any of the terms, conditions, restrictions, or limitations of these Official Rules; (b) the Entrant fails to respond to the winner notification or any other notice within two (2) days after its transmission; (c) the Entrant fails to complete, sign, and return the Required Documents within two (2) days after its receipt; (d) the inability of WEBTOON to contact a potential winner or the return of any winner notification, notice, or Prize as undeliverable; or (e) an Entrant’s failure to maintain his/her behavior in accordance with all applicable laws and generally-accepted social practices in connection with participation in any Promotion-related or Prize-related activity, including, without limitation, if the Entrant (i) is uncooperative or disruptive; (ii) annoys, threatens, or harasses any other person; (iii) uses profanity; (iv) demonstrates any lewd, sexually suggestive, or otherwise obscene gestures; (v) attempts or does cause serious harm or damage to person, property, or the reputation of corporation or any other Entrant; or (vi) performs an act defined by federal, state, or local statute or ordinance as constitute a criminal act. 

 

Further, if for any reason this Promotion or part thereof is not capable of running as planned, or if this Promotion or any website, page, app or e-mail address associated therewith (or any portion thereof), including but not limited to the Corporation’s Instagram and Twitter accounts, becomes corrupted or does not allow the proper fair play of the Promotion in accordance with these Official Rules, or if infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by Entrants (or others), fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in the Corporation’s sole opinion, corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Corporation reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Promotion or any portion thereof.  In the event this Promotion is cancelled, the Corporation may choose to, but is not obligated to, award the Prize to an alternate Entrant from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to the time of the action or event warranting such cancellation.  If such cancellation, termination, modification, or suspension occurs, notification will be posted on @WEBTOONCANVAS Instagram and Twitter accounts. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE, PAGE OR E-MAIL ADDRESS (INCLUDING THE WEBSITE) OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE CORPORATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

DISCLAIMERS: Corporation shall not be liable to the Winner or any other person for failure to supply a Prize or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, terrorist acts, earthquake, war, fire, flood, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any other cause beyond the Corporation’s sole control. Corporation is not responsible for any typographical or other printing errors in the offer or administration of the Promotion.  Prize is awarded “as is, where is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation any warranty of merchantability or suitability for a particular purpose. 

 

  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY; RELEASE; INDEMNIFICATION: ENTRANTS WAIVE THE RIGHT TO CLAIM ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PUNITIVE, CONSEQUENTIAL, DIRECT, OR INDIRECT DAMAGES, AGAINST THE PROMOTION PARTIES AND INSTAGRAM AND TWITTER RESULTING FROM, ARISING FROM, OR IN CONNECTION WITH PARTICIPATING IN THE PROMOTION OR ANY PRIZE ACTIVITY. 

By participating in the Promotion, Entrants hereby agree to defend, hold harmless, and indemnify the Promotion Parties and Instagram and Twitter from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, suits, losses, expenses (including, without limitation, reasonable attorney fees and expenses), costs and liabilities of any nature whatsoever that arise or result from Entrants’ action, inaction, negligence, or other fault in connection with participating in the Promotion.  Without limiting the foregoing, by participating in and entering the Promotion, (a) Entrants agree that the Promotion Parties and Instagram and Twitter shall not be liable for personal injuries, death, damages, expenses or costs or losses of any kind resulting from participation or inability to participate in the Promotion or parts thereof or acceptance of, use of or inability to use a Prize or parts thereof including, without limitation, claims, suits, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light (whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory and (b) the Winner hereby releases the Promotion Parties and Instagram and Twitter from any and all liability and responsibility with respect to the Prize (including any property loss, damage, personal injury or death).
