Sendero Luminoso organized this horrible tragedy; they set off a car bomb on Tarata Street in the Miraflores district. There were 25 dead and 200 wounded. The original idea was to explode the explosives in front of the Banco de Crédito del Perú at 9:20 p.m., but a security guard from the establishment did not allow them to park in the agreed place, firing shots with his protective weapon.
