So, I realized something last night. I had made a post on Patreon, telling my patrons and followers about a consultation I'd had recently, as well as showing them the results of my recent surgery, both to ask for their support and to inform people who had already supported. What surprised me was that there was a common reaction from everyone I talked to: They had no idea that I'm transgender.
It made me think a lot about it. I'm openly trans, but I don't talk about it a lot, because truly its just not the most interesting thing about me. But especially right now when we're undergoing what is basically a cultural genocide, it's more important than ever to let each other know that we're not alone.
So to all my trans readers: You are not alone, your goals ARE attainable, and you're not too late. It's gonna be alright.
My name is Jae Harlow, 39 year old transgender woman in the U.S. - Nice to meet you.
(p.s. if your opinion about me or my comic gets worse now, you're a monster.)
