The funky spelling is because the singer has a strong Mühlviertlerisch dialect, specific to the Mühlviertl region of Upper Austria (where I was!). Lyrics are roughly: "A bird flew over to me and landed upon my foot, It had a letter in its beak: a greeting from my mother"
