Side note, the lulav and etrog are shaken as a way to send out a blessing to all of creation (which makes sense, given its a harvest holiday). The etrog represents the heart, and the three branches of the lulav represent the eyes, mouth, and spine. Some say they represent the four letters of G-d’s true name, or that it represents the four different types of Jews coming together. Interesting!
