Fun fact, Silphium is a real lost herb. It's mentioned in plenty of Roman texts, but its identity is unknown, and it's assumed to be extinct. It was used across the ancient Mediterranean in lots of different ways, including as seasoning, perfume, an aphrodisiac, medicine, and a contraceptive. All of that has next to nothing to do with the comic, but it amused me :)
