On January 17th, 1920, the 18th Amendment went into place that prohibited the sale, possession, transportation, and the production of alcoholic beverages in the United States of America. Those who defied the law by creating and selling illegal liquor were known as “bootleggers”. This is the story of one such Scofflaw: Jack Duffy, an Irish immigrant from Illinois.
