for those curious, one of my sensei's was recently hospitalized, so i've been spending some time helping out over there. it's probably no coincidence that i've been having horrible art block, too. thankfully, he seems to be getting better now. over the years, my dojo has become a sort of second home for me, so that's why i say [judo] family. btw you've actually learned judo indirectly from him.
