The way things work on Webtoon is the same way they work everywhere else. The algorithm loves more popular things, and recommends them more, which causes them to get more popular.

I'm incredibly lucky to be in my current situation, to have the support of the Canvas team, my artists, and my mops, but I don't know if I would've kept going if my series didn't receive attention early on. I might've given up.

I worry that many other new creators might give up before they can fully create something amazing.
