(EA, author:) I originally wanted to spend more time with each person's summer break activities, but after further discussions we came to the conclusion that it would be better to quickly gloss over them while moving the timeline along quite a bite until the next big event I recall. I'm still trying to find a good balance between story and flow, so I'm still learning for sure
