There's a saying, "A good compromise leaves both sides unhappy." But that's the case with bad ones too, right? If one side's happy and the other isn't, it's not a compromise! The saying may as well be, "compromise leaves both sides unhappy." And if there is a compromise that makes both sides happy, surely that's a better compromise? Or is that even a compromise? It's just... a fair transaction?
