I say "Based on loose adaptations" of Loren Eiseley's "The Star Thrower" (sometimes known as "The Starfish Story") because I could only find adaptations of this story from various motivational images and Christianized retellings. Of course, I could have just procured a legal copy of "The Unexpected Universe" myself to ensure I was adapting the tale as accurately as possible, but, like, no.
