Regarding this particular cartoon, a reader once pointed out that maybe it’s just as well that we can’t hear what these two are shouting at each other. This sort of dialogue-free montage cartoon is somewhat uncommon in comic strips, but a few cartoons rely heavily on them. I loved the idea of using only pictures to convey a joke, leaving what was actually said up to everyone’s imaginations.
