Speaking of presidential portraits, I sometimes wonder who was the last president to have his portrait painted, and who was the first to be photographed? Being an artist, I imagine if I were elected to the nation's highest office, I'd ask to be painted. On the other hand, that would require quite a bit more sitting still than a modern day photo.
