One element to Candace’s past is that she played catcher on her high school softball team. Early on I portrayed her as having been a real klutz behind the plate, and she was no better off during her brief stint in the outfield. If this is true, however, Candace has made some rapid improvements as a player, because as an adult she’s pretty formidable whenever she plays.
