Many years ago I read a Superman comic book in which the Man of Steel goes toe-to-toe with a super powerful, bearded old man claiming to be Father Time. I patterned my version of Father Time after the character from the comic book, but it was my own idea to add the stopwatch and hourglass staff (which slightly differ from the tools he is normally depicted as carrying).
