I always think garbage men fit well into comedic scenarios. Other cartoonists must agree with me because Candace ‘n’ Company isn’t the only comic strip where they show up now and then. I originally considered making the unseen garbage man think, Oh, no. Not her again! But I suppose that even an insincere flirt is a welcome sight when you have to look at rotting food and used diapers all day.
