When you really think about it, people don't trade in knowledge as much as they trade in clout and influence. At some point you have to ask yourself - why would anyone want to weaken their own position by giving away their secrets? Maybe the best move, as it tends to be, is to not play. The problem then comes when not everyone agrees what you should be "not playing".
