The biggest irony about opportunity is that the more you have it, the less forgiving people get - because they assume that you must be successful, so there's less room for error. The result is that an ever-growing population of ever-qualified people compete for an ever-shrinking piece of the pie, and everyone else screams at them for not meeting expectations.
