If you want to completely cripple someone's ability to make decisions, tell them that relying on what they already know is a recipe for disaster. Doubt everything they propose. Rubbish every solution they offer. Question their intent. Eventually they won't be able to do anything without your say-so, and best of all you can blame them for developing "learned helplessness".
