It's no secret that adults have a very poor opinion on the ability of younger generations to be patient, prudent, and all sorts of preferable characteristics. A lot of their frustration is on why these traits are such a hard sell to their offspring or subordinates - but you only need to look at what happens when adults lose their temper. Children didn't pick up "I want this NOW" out of nowhere.
