Whether it's the millennial TikToker sentiment of "YOLO" or the range of disapproving admonitions from adults, I've never been a huge fan of the "You haven't really lived until you've done something that almost killed you" approach. It's a little too close to the "I want to play a game" thing that the Saw franchise has going on. I really don't need to almost die to appreciate living.
