As early as Failure #21, I've made references to life as a roleplaying game. You spend time accumulating resources and equipment until you're in a position to do what you want. Life is sort of like that, except that in a game, you don't usually have to break your character in half for the daily grind. In life, everyone seems keen on milking and processing you for everything you're worth first.
