I might be more inclined to believe that learning in itself is a desirable outcome, if the fact that you need to learn isn't in itself framed as an undesirable outcome. As much as we've come pretty far in education paradigms, we still generally have to be shamed into thinking that what we know isn't enough, because being appreciated for what you already have is never going to be a thing.
