You'd think that if the "good old days" were really any good, adults would be happy to see their descendants agree. But that's usually not the case, typically for one important reason: it makes the adults look bad. They make up for it by ranting about the grand opportunities they've made, but it then begs the question: why would they then whine about the good old days to start with?
