The holy grail of any transaction is being able to get away with more value at less cost. Who doesn't want more efficiency or bang for their buck? The problems start when this starts becoming the norm, instead of the exception. Workers get underpaid. Corners get cut. Superficial, jerry-rigged fixes are used, all to present the facade that nothing is wrong and nobody needs help.
