It's no surprise why parents are concerned when their children look towards other public figures for influence, guidance and affirmation. In light of the Adolescence film, there are absolutely valid reasons to be concerned. My counterpoint is that the instinct to look outside one's familial relations for such things didn't start with the kids. They had to have learned it from somewhere else.
