Life is a race - especially when it's been starkly defined by "Squid Game", which I read a Wikipedia summary of to catch on with what everyone else was talking about. It's a show that's very relatable in a postmodern world where everyone is familiar with running a race ever since birth. A race that the participants didn't ask for, but get threatened with consequences for failure anyway.
